Abstract
The Decree approves the Supreme Chemistry Council s Decision by which the new article 21a is added to the Food Code, in compliance with the provisions of Council Directive 2002/16/EC and 2001/61/EC on the use of certain epoxy derivates in materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. The provisions of article 21a apply to materials and articles which are intended to come into contact or are brought into contact with foodstuffs and are intended for that purpose and which are manufactured with or contain one or more of the substances listed out in Annex I to the same article. As prescribed also in Directive 2002/16/EC, article 21a shall not apply to containers or storage tanks having a capacity greater than 10,000 litres or to pipelines connected with them.
