Abstract
Aim of this Decree is the transposition into the national legislation and implementation of the provisions of Commission Directive 2001/59/EC relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances. Directive 2001/59/EC adapts to technical progress Council Directive 67/548/EEC, which has been implemented and incorporated into the Greek legislative frame with Ministerial Joint Decree No. 378/94. Under this light, this Decree approves hereby the adaptation to technical progress of Annexes I to VIII to Ministerial Joint Decree No. 378/94 as set out in the provisions of the present Decree.

Entry into force notes
The Decree shall enter into force: a) as from 30 July 2002 for dangerous substances; b) as from 30 July 2002 for preparations not within the scope of Council Directive 91/414/EEC or Council Directive 98/8/EC; c) as from 30 July 2004 for preparations within the scope of Directive 91/414/EEC or Directive 98/8/EC.
