Ministerial Joint Decree No. 66/2002 amending article 126 of the Food Code in compliance with Council Directive No. 2001/112/EC.

Pursuant to Council Directive 2001/112/EC relating to fruit juices and certain similar products intended for human consumption, article 126 of the Food Code is hereby amended. The provisions of this article shall apply to products listed in Annex I which lays down provisions for commercial names, specific criteria and standards for fruit juice, fruit juice from concentrate, concentrated fruit juice, dehydrated or powdered fruit juice and fruit nectar. For the production of the above mentioned products the ingredients and raw materials listed in Annexes I and II may be used. Annex III refers to particular designations for certain products listed in Annex I. Placing on the market of products not complying with the prescriptions of this Decree, shall be prohibited as from 12 July 2004. However, sales of products not complying with the provisions of this Decree but have been labelled before July 2004 may continue until the supply lasts, according with Presidential Order No. 526/83.
