Presidential Decree No. 194 amending Decree No. 347/98, as amended and in force, in compliance with Commission Directive 2008/67/EC.

The aim of this Decree is to adopt the Greek legislative frame to the provisions of Commission Directive 2008/67/EC as has been amended and in force. Previous amendments have been incorporated into the Greek legislation with Presidential Decrees Nos. 158/1999, 137/2002 and 294/2003. The present Decree implements the two articles of the Directive as follows: “Article 2. Where equipment listed as ‘new item’ under the heading ‘item designation’ of Annex A.1 or as having been transferred from Annex A.2 to Annex A.1 was manufactured before 21 July 2009 in accordance with procedures for type-approval already in force before 21 July 2009, such equipment may be placed on the market and on board a Community ship during the two years following the said date.”. Also, with article 3 to this Decree, Annex A to article 19 of Decree No. 347/98 shall be replaced with the Annex attached herewith.
