Abstract
These Regulations provide rules for the generating, treatment, storage, disposal and transportation hazardous waste and the use of imported chemicals. Such activities require an environmental authorisation from the Environmental Protection Agency. Holders of an authorisation shall have certain obligations regarding data collection and reporting and every holder of an environmental authorisation to generate or transport hazardous waste or operate a facility shall submit an emergency preparedness plan to the Agency for approval. The Regulations contain specific rules regarding surrender of an environmental authorisation to treat or store hazardous waste and regarding the transportation of waste.
