Abstract
"Pesticides" and "toxic chemicals are defined in section 2. There is established a Board to be known as the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board which consists of Government officials as members ex-ufficio and representatives of various organizations appointed by the Minister. The Board shall register pesticides and toxic chemicals, advise the Minister on matters relevant to the making of Regulations under this Act and to advise on the monitoring and implementation of such Regulations (sect. 4). The Minister shall appoint the Registrar of Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals (art. 5). The Registrar shall act as Secretary of the Board. Sections 11 and following regulate the manufacturing, sale, advertising or importing of pesticides and toxic chemicals. Products shall be registered and the manufacturer, seller or importer shall obtain a license from the Board.
