Abstract
This Decision, based on the provisions of the Croatian Building Law, proclaims the adoption of the Energy Poverty Suppression Program, which includes the use of renewable energy sources in residential buildings in subsidized areas and areas of special state care (planned for the period until the year 2025). The full text of this Programme is attached to this publication. The Programme will have direct and indirect effects or benefits, especially at the local level: 1. reducing energy poverty; 2. improved health of tenants; 3. local employment; 4. spatial arrangement; 5. increasing the value of real estate. Indirectly, the implementation of the Programme will positively contribute to: 1. the stay and settlement of the population in the mentioned areas, i.e. demographic revitalization of the Republic of Croatia; 2. reduction of health system expenditures; 3. the overall economic development of supported areas and special state care areas; 4. suppression of the gray economy.
