Decision on the authorization of vessels for fishing for swordfish (Xiphias gladius) in 2025.

This Decision authorizes certain vessels for fishing swordfish (Xiphias gladius) during the year 2025 on the basis of the conditions and criteria prescribed by related national legislation. All fishing vessels indicated in point II of this Decision will have the right to use the state quota for fishing for needlefish (Xiphias gladius) with drifting longlines; point III lists all vessels that shall have the right to use the state quota for fishing for swordfish (Xiphias gladius) by trolling and/or by discarding according to the Olympic principle with a maximum catch quantity per vessel of up to 200 kg or until the total quota of 1,500 kg is used up, whichever comes first.
