Abstract
This Decision, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on hunting, establishes the National Commission for the Management of Brown Bears (Ursus arctos L.) for a term of four years. The task of the Commission is to develop and implement the Brown Bear Management Plan in the Republic of Croatia and its revisions, action plan and monitor the implementation of planned activities and assess the effectiveness of the implementation of the Brown Bear Management Plan on the national territory. The Commission prepares recommendations, opinions and reports on brown bear management and provides guidelines for the adoption of new or amendments to existing regulations in this area. Professional and administrative tasks for the Commission are performed by the ministry in charge of hunting.
