Abstract
This Law amends various provisions prescribed by the Water Law (Official Gazette 153/2009 and 63/2011).
Major changes are related to the general definitions and terms, general scopes and responsibilities of the questions treated by the Law, technical standards and various related issues, duties and responsibilities of the competent authorities and their related bodies, and various other basic and specific principles that are regulated under the Water Law.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette, except for provisions of articles 18, 36b, 36c which will enter into force on the day of Croatian accession to the European Union and provisions of the article 114 that shall enter into force on 1 April 2014.
