Abstract
This Law amends certain provisions of the Law on agricultural land (Official Gazette 152/08).
In the Law on agricultural land (Official Gazette 152/08), in Article 77 paragraph 2, the eleventh indent is deleted.
In Article 78, paragraph 3 is deleted.
This Law also prescribes certain new provisions: Local self-government units that have not adopted the Programme for the management of state-owned agricultural land and have not commenced to manage the agricultural land by the time specified in article 97, paragraph 1 of the Law on agricultural land (Official Gazette 152/08), or by the entry into force of this Law, shall perform the following tasks by the following deadlines: within 6 months from the entry into force of this Law, local self-government units shall adopt the Programme for the management of state-owned agricultural land; within one year from the entry into force of this Law, local self-government units shall commence to manage state-owned agricultural land.
Should a local self-government unit fail to adopt the Programme for the management of state-owned agricultural land within the time limit specified in the first paragraph of this Article, the Programme shall be adopted by the Agricultural Land Agency, with the consent of the Ministry, at the expense of the budget of the local self-government unit concerned.
The Agricultural Land Agency has began all its activities on 1 July 2010.
