Law on the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

This Law determines that the Government of the Republic of Croatia shall exercise its executive governance power in accordance with the national Constitution and in accordance with the terms here laid down.
The Government consists of the president, vice presidents, ministers and other members. Ministers, as a rule, manage the work of ministries. The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government must be Croatian citizens. The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government are considered as officials of the Republic of Croatia. The President of the Republic of Croatia appoints and dismisses the Prime Minister. Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government are appointed and dismissed by the President of the Republic of Croatia, on the proposal of the Prime Minister. The term of office of the President, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers and other members of the Government begins on the day of appointment and ends on the day of dismissal by the President of the Republic of Croatia. In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, the Prime Minister is obliged to present the Government to the House of Representatives of the Croatian National Parliament and request a vote of confidence in the Government. If the President of the Republic of Croatia appoints a new member of the Government during the term of office of the Government, the Prime Minister shall request the President of the House of Representatives of the Croatian National Parliament to vote the confidence in that member within 15 days. For the purpose of managing the assets of the Republic of Croatia, the Government appoints members of management and supervisory boards of public companies, representatives representing the Republic of Croatia as shareholders in assemblies of joint stock companies, representatives of the Republic of Croatia in assemblies of limited liability companies.
