Abstract
This Law establishes all necessary procedures and measures (including offences and related penalties) aimed to correctly avoid, prevent or reduce various harmful effects on human health and environment including natural life and animal factors, caused by noise in the environment, including annoyance, particularly in relation to the: determination of exposure to noise and noise mapping based method for assessing the environmental noise; ensuring of availability of necessary information on environmental noise; development of action plans based on the data used in the preparation of noise maps.
Noise protection, prescribed by this Law, is carried out day and night on the territory of the Croatian Republic.
The provisions of this Law shall not apply to noise protection measures which are binding on the Republic of Croatia under international treaties and/or conventions.
