Law on thermal energy market.

This Law regulates the measures for safe and reliable supply of heat or thermal energy in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, including various issues such as conditions for obtaining of related concessions, necessary data collection and data delivery, monitoring and inspection issues, distribution network technical issues, policies and measures for the safe and reliable production, distribution and supply, and many principles aimed to achieve the energy efficiency dynamics.
The Law is divided into XI Chapters and 58 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
This text also transposes the following document and their rules into the Croatian legal system: Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 on the promotion of renewable energy sources and its amending and subsequently repealing Directives 2001/77/EC and 2003/30/EC; Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 May 2010 on the energy performance of buildings (modification); Directive 2012/27/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012 on energy efficiency, and its amending Directives 2009/125/EC and 2010/30/EC, and also its repealing Directives 2004/8/EC and 2006/32.
