Regulation amending the Regulation on conducting the navigation safety inspection.

This Regulation amends many provisions stipulated by the Regulation on conducting the navigation safety inspection (Official Gazette 39/2011).
Major changes are related to the general provisions, scopes, definitions and other basic issues (article 1); the implementation of various European Union documents: Commission Directive 96/40/EC of 25 June 1996 on the establishment of a common identity card template for inspectors carrying out port State control; Council Directive 1999/35/EC on a system of mandatory inspections for the safe management of regular ro-ro passenger ships and speedboats; Directive 2000/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2000 on port reception facilities and shipboard waste; Directive 2001/96/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 December 2001 on the establishment of harmonized requirements and procedures for safe loading and unloading of bulk carriers; Directive 2002/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a Community vessel traffic monitoring and information system and also repealing the Council Directive 93/75/EEC; Directive 2009/16/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Port State Control; Directive 2013/38/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on amendments to the Directive 2009/16/EC on port State control.
