Regulation amending the Regulation on the marketing of seed of guarded varieties.

This Regulation amends certain provisions part of the Regulation on the marketing of seed of guarded varieties (Official Gazette 43/2013).
Major changes are related to the adoption of the following documents and their principles into the Croatian legal system: Commission Directive 2008/62/EC of 20 June 2008 laying down certain derogations for the recognition of guarded varieties that are naturally adapted to local and regional conditions and threatened by genetic erosion and on marketing of guarded potato varieties; Commission Directive 2009/145/EC of 26 November 2009 which provides certain derogations for acceptance of vegetable varieties that are traditionally grown in specific areas and regions and are threatened by genetic erosion (vegetable varieties with no real value for commercial crop production); Commission Directive 2010/60/EU of 30 August 2010 laying down certain derogations for the marketing of seed mixtures of forage crops intended for the preservation of the natural environment; and Implementing Commission Directive 2013/45/EC of 7 August 2013, its amending Council Directives 2002/55/EC and 2008/72/EC and Directive 2009/145/EC in connection with the botanical names of tomatoes.
