Abstract
This Regulation amends some issues stipulated by the Regulation on the methods and conditions for waste disposal, categories and working conditions for landfill sites (Official Gazette 117/2007, 111/2011 and 17/2013).
Major changes are related to the adoption of the rules contained in the Directive 1999/31/EC of 26 April 1999 on waste landfills, its amending provisions from the Directive 2011/97/EU of 5 December 2011 as regards the specific criteria for the storage of elementary elemental mercury considered as waste; and Council Decision 2003/33/EC of 19 December 2002 laying down the criteria and procedures for the reception of waste at landfills.
