Abstract
This Regulation amends various provisions to the Regulation on packaging and packaging waste (Official Gazette 97/2005, 115/2005, 81/2008, 31/2009, 156/2009, 38/2010, 10/2011, 81/2011, 126/2011 and 38/2013).
Changes are related to the general terms and definitions, technical aspects, standards and requirements to be observed when treating the packaging waste collection sector, packaging producers obligations, and other waste management provisions including the administrative, financial and recycling rules and specifications.
This Regulation also establishes a concrete framework for the implementation of the following Acts of the European Union: Commission Decision of 22 2005/270/EZ March, 2005 establishing the formats related to the systems of data under Directive 94/62/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste ( OJ L 86 , 5 4th 2005); Commission Decision of 28 97/129/EZ Jan 1997 establishing the identification system for packaging materials in accordance with the Directive of the European Parliament and Council Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste ( OJ L 50, 20. 2. 1997); Commission Decision of 28 2001/524/EZ June, 2001. Posting references to standards EN 13428:2000 , EN 13429:2000 , EN 13430:2000 , EN 13431:2000 and EN 13432:2000 in the Official Journal of the European Communities in connection with Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste ( OJ L 190, 12. 7. 2001); Commission Decision of 19 2001/171/EZ February 2001 establishing the conditions for a derogation for glass packaging due to the heavy metal concentration limits specified in Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste ( OJ L 62, 2. 3. 2001); Commission Decision of 24 2009/292/EZ March 2009 establishing the conditions for derogation of plastic crates and plastic pallets due to the heavy metal concentration limits specified in Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste ( OJ L 79 , 25. 3. 2009).
This Regulation also amends certain parts of the Annex.
The amended part of the Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
