Abstract
This Regulation sets the health parameters (microbiological and chemical), indicator parameters (microbiological and chemical) and parameters of radioactive substances in water for human consumption.
This text also defines the parameter values, type and scope of sample analysis and the frequency for taking samples of water for human consumption for the implementation of monitoring of water for human consumption and for the implementation of monitoring of radioactive substances that are possibly present in such water; the frequency of taking samples of water for human consumption within the system of self-control of food business operators and other public health facilities; methods of laboratory testing of water for human consumption; and the manner for keeping the register of legal persons engaged in activities of public water supply on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
This Regulation further transposes the following provisions: Annexes 1, 2 and 3 of the Council Directive 1998/83/EC of 3 November 1998 on the quality of water intended for human consumption; Council Directive 2013/51/Euratom of 22 October 2013 on the establishment of applications for the protection of public health form radioactive waste in water intended for human consumption; and Commission Directive (EU) 2015/1787 of 6 October 2015 amending Annex II and III of the Council Directive 98/83/EC on water quality intended for human consumption.
The Annex (I-V) is also an integrated part of this publication (full list of technical/chemical parameters).
