Abstract
This Regulation establishes minimum requirements for the identification and registration of pigs, without prejudice to the implementation of special regulations for the purpose of combating and eradicating the swine diseases.
For the implementation of measures to protect animal and human health from infectious and parasitic diseases and monitoring of the traceability of products of animal origin, all pigs in the Republic of Croatia shall be marked in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation, and every movement of pigs shall be recorded in the Unified Register of domestic animals in the way which allows the identification of farms from which they came and where they were born.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, in relation to the identification and registration of pigs, the Regulation on obligatory identification and registration of domestic animals and records keeping (Official Gazette 110/04) will be no longer in use.
