Regulation on the conditions and methods for the transportation of animals.

The Regulation prescribes all necessary measures and requirements related to the transport of live animals on the Croatian territory, specific animal welfare provisions, correct manner for determining the type of measures to be implemented in certain cases, liability and administrative requirements and forms for the official transporters, international transport provisions and other relevant facts.
This Regulation applies to the; a) domestic equine, cattle, sheep, goats and pigs; b) poultry, domestic birds and rabbits; c) domestic cats and other mammals and birds; d) other vertebrate animals and cold-blooded animals.
This Regulation shall not apply to the: a) transport that is not for commercial purposes; b) single animal accompanied by a natural person who is responsible for the animal during the transport or transport related activities; c) pets accompanied by their owners; d) cattle breeders or breeders using their agricultural vehicles in case of the geographical circumstances that make necessary the seasonal relocation of certain species in different climatic areas; e) distance less than 50 km, starting from the beginning of the transport of animals to the place of destination.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
