Abstract
This Law shall regulate animal welfare with respect to the keeping, feeding, care and treatment of animals.
Animals, in terms of this Act, are vertebrates and fish, birds and mammals.
No one may kill an animal for no reason, inflict her pain and suffering in contravention of this Act.
Owner of an animal, depending on the nature and needs of the animal, he must feed, water, care for, hold, and provide health care.
All surgical and zootechnical procedures on animals, except those indicated in article 7 hereunder, shall practice the use of anesthesia and are performed in accordance with the provisions of the Veterinary Act.
