Abstract
This Regulation lays down conditions for the approval of border inspection posts responsible for veterinary checks on products introduced into the Community from third countries.
Border veterinary inspection consist of buildings intended for veterinary checks under the supervision of the border veterinary inspector, in the case of fisheries products, the official veterinarian or the official agent specially trained to see the fish by the competent authority.
Border inspection posts must be located so that building represent a single working unit.
In the case where the border veterinary inspection is divided into different inspection centers, they must: a) be located within the same customs area or district as the border inspection post at which the centers are; b) be located within a reasonable distance from the central office and under the control of the border veterinary inspector; c) keep information about the shipments examined at the center.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
