Abstract
This Regulation provides for conditions, criteria, method of selection, financing rules and implementation strategies as regards the subsidy measure I.20. "Energy efficiency and climate change mitigation" as defined by the European Union priority subsidy programme for encouraging environmentally sustainable, resource efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based fisheries", that is also part of the Republic of Croatia’s operational programme for the programming period 2014-2020.
This text in particular prescribes the support rules as regards the investments and activities aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change and improving the energy efficiency of fishing vessels. Possible beneficiaries are only owners of fishing vessels registered on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
This Regulation is in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation (EU) No 508/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and repealing Council Regulations (EC) No 2328/2003, (EC) No 861/2006, (EC) No 1198/2006 and (EC) No 791/2007 and Regulation (EU) No 1255/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council; and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/531 of 24 November 2014 supplementing Regulation (EU) No 508/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council by identifying the costs eligible for support from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund in order to improve hygiene, health, safety and working conditions of fishermen, protect and restore marine biodiversity and ecosystems, mitigate climate change and increase the energy efficiency of fishing vessels.
The Annex is also part of this publication (list of selection criteria; and some technical data on energy efficiency percentage points).
