Abstract
This Regulation, as for the purposes of the Croatian Law on genetically modified organisms, prescribes the conditions of monitoring, the objective to be achieved and the general principles to be followed for the purpose of drawing up plans for monitoring, labelling and packaging of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and products consisting of or containing GMOs (food and animal feed). The aim of monitoring is: to confirm the accuracy of all assumptions stated in the environmental risk assessment regarding the occurrence and effect of possible harmful effects of GMOs or its assumption that any assumption related to the occurrence and impact of possible adverse effects of GMOs or that their use in environmental risk assessment is correct; to identify the occurrence of harmful effects of GMOs or their use on human health and the environment, which are not foreseen in the environmental risk assessment.
