Abstract
This Regulation provides for the content and scope of risk assessment for placing on the market of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or products which contain and/or consist of or derive from GMOs, methodology for the preparation of risk assessment, as well as requirements that have to be fulfilled by a legal person for the preparation of risk assessment.
The subject of risk assessment in relation to placing on the market of GMOs or products which contain and/or consist of or derive from GMOs is identification, analysis and evaluation of potential adverse effects and consequences of a specific GMO on biological diversity, environment, human and animal health thus determining the scale of hazard, also defined by certain parameters inside this Regulation.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
