Regulation on Designation of Origin and Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs.

This Regulation provides measures and requirements for: a) the protection of designation of origin and geographical indications of agricultural products and foodstuffs; b) special conditions for raw materials and food for animals in exceptional cases of registration of designation of origin; c) conditions under which natural or legal person may be considered as a group; d) the application, additional information contained in the application and documents to be enclosed to the application; e) the data contained in a single document and the content of the product specifications; f) the affairs of the commission for the implementation of the registration of designations of origin and geographical indications of agricultural products and foodstuffs; g) the conditions to be met by certification authorities, the deadline for accreditation, the process of determining conformity with the specifications and obligations of certification bodies in the process of determining conformity with the specification list; h) the methods and conditions for the conducting of registration of origin and geographical indications of agricultural products and foodstuffs, and the content and manner of publication; i) the time limits in opposition proceedings and detailed opposition proceedings, as well as place and manner of publication of the decision on registration marks; j) the content, form and manner of keeping the register of designations of origin and the register of geographical indications of products; k) the payment of charges for the registration process.
The Annexes I-IV are an integral part of this Regulation.
