Regulation establishing a framework of action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides.

This Regulation provides for a complete framework for the sustainable use of pesticides in order to reduce the risks and impacts of pesticide use on human health and environment, and to encourage integrated pest management and implementation of alternative methods or procedures such as non-chemical alternatives to pesticides.
This Regulation also prescribes: the conditions and manner of issuing authorizations for conducting training of professional users, distributors and advisors, the conditions for authorization of lecturers, type and course of training, certification and other details related to the official training; the conditions that must be met by legal and natural persons engaged in transport of pesticides (distributors included); the manner for keeping records of plant protection products that are manufactured, imported, exported, stored, marketed or used; the conditions to be met by professional users of pesticides; the conditions for the marketing of devices for application of pesticides; the conditions and manner of authorization review, content review, sign and other details related to the mandatory regular inspection device for applying pesticides in use (equipment); all necessary standards for the correct use of special procedures and restrictions on the application of pesticides on the Croatian territory; all risk indicators, reporting and exchange of information, including all related data collection; other conditions, requirements, obligations and details that enable the creation of a framework for the sustainable use of pesticides and soil quality protection.
