Abstract
This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on official controls and other official activities carried out in accordance with regulations on food, animal feed, animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products, ensures the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2017/625. This text also prescribes the types and amounts of fees and charges for financing the costs of official controls, official certifications and other official inspection activities of the State Inspectorate, which are charged in accordance with Articles 79, 80 and 83 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625, and for official controls of animals and goods from Article 44, Article 47, paragraph 1, and controls from Article 22, paragraph 1 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625. Inspections of the State Inspectorate referred to in paragraph 1 of this article shall mean veterinary, sanitary, agricultural and phytosanitary inspections. The entity that operates in the facility where the prescribed official controls are carried out is obliged to pay the fees and charges prescribed by the provisions of this Regulation. Fees and charges prescribed by the provisions of this text shall be paid to the State Budget, with payment information available on the official website of the State Inspectorate. Those fees and charges are dedicated revenue of the state budget, and are used to finance the costs of official controls and other official activities in accordance with the provisions of Article 62, paragraph 3 of the Law on Official Controls.
