Abstract
This Regulation, with the purpose of rational management and protection of bluefin tuna, here prescribes the provisions governing over the implementation of rules contained in the Regulation (EU) 2016/1627 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 2016 on a multiannual recovery plan for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean, and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 302/2009, here also in strict relation with the economic fishing of bluefin tuna with fishery tools.
This Regulation further sets the conditions for granting the right to quota allocation; criteria for the allocation of state quota; fee for the allocated quota; manner and the conditions for issuing and transferring the permits, and other official administrative deadlines.

This Regulation enters into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.

See the attached Decision on the entry of catches of fishing vessels with inhaler tools into the ICCAT Register of BFT Catching Vessels in 2019 (dated 26 February 2019, Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia 022/2019). This Decision sets the official list of vessels which meet the conditions and criteria for entry into the register of ICCAT fishing vessels; and determines the individual catch quotas (use of fishing gear on vessels in 2019).
