Abstract
This Regulation establishes the health safety standards and basic requirements for food for special dietary needs or use.
Food for special dietary needs is a special food composition or a special production method, different from the usual food for its nutritional properties and uses.
Dietetic foods are intended for: diet for healthy infants and young children; people with disrupted process of digestion and metabolism; persons who are in a special physiological states that need a specific action controlled by certain food ingredients; healthy people who want to further enrich the diet as well as improving the current state of the organism.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
