Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the conditions to be met by food supplements concerning the composition, labeling and marketing.
This Regulation shall not apply to drugs that are regulated by the Drug Law.
In terms of this Regulation supplements are considered to be preparations produced from concentrated sources of nutrients or other substances with nutritional or physiological effect that are intended to further enrich the usual diet in order to maintain human health.
Nutritional supplements can be marketed to the ultimate consumer, exclusively packaged, individually or in combination. The forms of supplements are: a) dosage forms: capsules, tablets, pills, etc.; b) powders, granules, liquids, and other forms that are taken in measured quantities and/or with specific methods of application.
In the production of dietary supplements, vitamins and minerals can be used only in accordance with the chemical forms in Annex I, which is printed with this Regulation.
Full Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 17, paragraph 2 which shall enter into force on 1 January 2013.
