Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the quality requirements for the production and marketing of frozen desserts, related to: a) terms, definitions and general requirements that must be met; b) composition of added ingredients and other substances used in production and processing; c) additional labelling requirements.
Frozen desserts are: a) the frozen emulsion made from heat-treated mixture of milk, cream and/or other dairy products and/or water, milk and/or vegetable fats, dairy and/or vegetable protein, sugar and other ingredients; b) frozen solution made from heat-treated mixture of water, sugar and other ingredients.
Frozen desserts are produced and marketed under the following names: a) dairy ice cream; b) ice creams; c) flavored frozen desserts; d) frozen fruit dessert.
