Abstract
This Regulation provides standards for quality of fruit jams, jellies, marmalades and sweetened chestnut puree that are put on the market, and applies to: a) terms, definitions and general requirements that must be met; b) composition and sensory properties; c) type and quantity of raw materials and other substances used in production and processing; d) additional or specific requirements of labelling or marking.
Product names need to be supplemented by the names of all the fruits, in descending order of weight of raw materials used.
To determine product compliance with the prescribed general quality requirements for official controls using methods prescribed by special regulation, validated and internationally recognized methods will be used.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
