Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the quality requirements that must be met by honey in the production and placing on the market, in particular: names, definitions and general requirements; sensory properties and composition; additional labelling requirements. The names, definitions and descriptions of the products are given in Annex 1 of this text. Honey composition criteria is determined in Annex 2. Validated and internationally recognized methods, such as those approved by the Codex Alimentarius, are used to determine the conformity of products with the quality requirements prescribed by this Regulation for the purpose of official control.
