Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the manner and procedure for identification and registration of bovine animals, monitoring, labelling of imported cattle, registration in case of cattle movement, form and content of the register of cattle on the farm, other records, travel certificate for cattle and other forms, layout and content of ear tags for cattle, providing and fetching ear tags, way of dealing with ear tags in the event of loss, death or slaughter of cattle, the rights and obligations of the marker, as other important rules.
This regulation establishes requirements for the identification and registration of bovine animals, without prejudice the implementation of special Regulations for the control and eradication of cattle diseases.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 1 September 2011, except for the provisions of article 9, paragraph 2 which will enter into force on the day of Croatian entrance into the European Union.
Notes
With the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on the implementation of obligatory labelling and registration of bovine animals (Official Gazette 99/07, 41/08 and 135/08) will be no longer in use in use.
