Abstract
This Regulation here prescribes the implementation of the Research Support Programme aimed at improving the quality of vine planting material for the period from the year 2024 until the year 2029. The amount of support from the Program is allocated to scientific institutions in financing research aimed at improving the quality of vine planting material, according to the results of the Public Call. Eligible beneficiaries of support are defined in article 6. Eligible activities for support under the Programme are: a) monitoring the economic characteristics of registered Croatian clones of autochthonous varieties b) Implementation of health control in high-category nursery plantations; c) analysis of the presence of economically harmful viruses in nursery plantations of a high category; d) analysis of the presence of phytoplasmas in nursery plantations of a high category; e) analysis of intravarietal variability of the most important introduced and autochthonous grape varieties in production plantations; f) determining the phytosanitary status (economically harmful viruses and phytoplasmas) of the most important introduced and autochthonous grape varieties in production plantations; g) collection of samples of scion of separated virus-free vines free from phytoplasmas of the most important introduced and autochthonous varieties for the production of pre-basic planting material; h) research of the needs for the production of basic planting material of registered Croatian clones of grapevines for the establishment of certified mother plantations; i) research of the need for the establishment of certified mother plantations of the most important introduced and autochthonous grape varieties in which there are no registered Croatian clones; j) research of the need for individual clonal selection in the most important introduced and autochthonous grape varieties in which there are no registered Croatian clones based on the results of research on intravarietal variability and phytosanitary status.
