Abstract
This Regulation defines the licensing of imports of hemp seeds mainly for industrial or agricultural purposes (CN code 1207 99 91 which is not intended for planting), also determining the responsible body, and administrative control and control in the field of authorized legal and natural persons.
This text transposes the provisions contained in the following documents: Regulation (EU) no. 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing a common organization of agricultural markets and repealing Regulation (EEC) No. 922/72, (EEC) No. 234/79, (EC) No. 1037/2001 and (EC) No. 1234/2007; and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 507/2008 of 6 June 2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1673/2000 on the common organization of the market in flax and hemp grown for fiber.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
