Abstract
This Regulation, in order to protect human population from trichinellosis, provides rules and measures for carrying out inspection of meat from pigs at slaughtering for private domestic use on the Croatian territory.
Animal holders that are slaughtering pigs, are obliged to report the activity to the veterinary organization within 24 hours.
The veterinary, in case of confirmed trichinosis presence, shall apply in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the notification of animal diseases (Official Gazette 31/09).

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
Upon the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on mandatory trinchineloscopic meat inspection at slaughtering of pigs for their own household (Official Gazette 144/98) will be no longer in use.
