Abstract
This Regulation lays down measures to prevent the introduction and the spread of oriental chestnut gall wasp Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu, special phytosanitary requirements which need to be met upon the introduction and moving of host plants, and the procedure for the notification of the presence of oriental chestnut gall wasp.
Host plants means plants or parts of plants intended for planting, other than fruits and seeds, of the following species: Castanea crenata Sieb. et Zucc. (Japanese chestnut), Castanea dentata Marsh. (American chestnut), Castanea mollissima Blume (Chinese chestnut), Castanea sativa-crenata (cross-breed between European and Japanese chestnut) and Castanea sativa Mill. (European chestnut).
The introduction into and spreading within the territory of the Republic of Croatia of oriental chestnut gall wasp is prohibited.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
The provisions of article 7, paragraph 2, article 10, paragraph 2 and Annex II, Part I, item 5 of this Regulation shall enter into force on the day of accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
