Abstract
This Regulation establishes the measures to prevent the spread of western corn rootworm Diabrotica virgifera LeConte, special surveys, and reporting on the presence of the harmful organism and measures to be taken to prevent its spreading.
If the owner of plants, plant products or other monitored products or any other person whosoever observes the symptoms of presence or suspected occurrence of a harmful organism in an area which was previously known to be free from the organism, he shall immediately inform the competent phytosanitary inspector, who will notify all related facts to the competent directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
In order to determine the presence and prevent the further spread of the harmful organism, special surveys shall be conducted in areas where maize is grown.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
The provisions of article 3, paragraph 2 and article 11 of this Regulation shall enter into force upon accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
