Regulation on the method of monitoring and reporting and the methodology for calculating greenhouse gas emissions during the lifetime of delivered fuels and energy and on the method of implementing projects to reduce emissions from oil and gas exploration and production.

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on climate change and ozone layer protection, determines: responsible entities/persons for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions over the life of fuel and energy, method of monitoring and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions over the life of delivered fuels and energy in a standardized manner, methodology for calculating greenhouse gas emissions over the life of fuel and energy, methodology for determining levels of greenhouse gas emissions in fuel life cycle by energy unit for the reference year 2010, methodology for calculating the contribution of electric road vehicles to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, report format and length of storage of reports on greenhouse gas emissions in fuel and energy life, method of data submission to competent authorities European Union, the manner of verifying data and the manner of implementing projects to reduce emissions from oil and gas exploration and production, which began after 1 January 2011. This text also transposes certain legal acts of the European Union into the national legislation (article 2).
