Abstract
The process of breeding animals and products of animal origin must be monitored in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation in order to detect the presence of residues and substances listed in Annex I, in live animals, their excrement and body fluids and tissues, animal products, animal feed and water intended for animal drinking.
The competent authority shall coordinate the implementation of residue monitoring.
The competent authority is responsible for: a) making the residue monitoring plan; b) coordinating the activities between the authorities responsible for monitoring the various residues, such coordination shall extend to all departments that are responsible for preventing the fraudulent use of substances or products on stock farms for human consumption; c) collecting, processing and analyzing data needed to evaluate the means and the effects provided by this Regulation; d) delivery of reports, data and results, including the results of other studies carried out to the Commission, no later than 31 March each year.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of articles 1, 8 (par 1, 2, 3), 20 (par 2-5), 27 (par 2), 28 (par 3, 4), 29 (par 5) which shall enter into force on the day of Croatian entrance into the European Union.
