Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the conditions for the labelling, presentation and advertisement of food with nutritional or health claims in order to ensure the effective functioning of markets and a high level of consumer protection.
The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to nutrition and health claims made in commercial communications on the labelling, presentation and advertisement of food intended for: delivery to the ultimate consumer; and for the supply of restaurants, canteens, hospitals, kindergardens, schools, social welfare and other similar entities in the food business who offer food to the ultimate consumer for direct consumption.
Only nutritional or health claims in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation may be used in labelling, advertisement and presentation of food.
Annex I is an integral part of this Regulation.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, the Regulation on Health and Nutrition Claims (Official Gazette 17/2009) will be no longer in force.
