Abstract
This Regulation governs the general quality requirements for oil and pomace oil that is marketed for sale to the ultimate consumer, which are related to: a) classification, terminology and definitions of oil; b) the technological processes used in the production and processing of oil; c) packaging and packaging requirements and additional or specific information that should be listed on the labelling of oil; d) physico-chemical and sensory characteristics; e) physico-chemical and sensory properties of raw materials, the type and quantity of raw materials, additives and other substances used in production and processing; f) methods of sampling and methods of analysis of physico-chemical and sensory properties of oil; g) conditions for approval of packaging extra virgin and virgin olive oil, whose names have been registered as a designation of origin or geographical indications; h) the conditions and manner of the form and content of the Register of approved facilities for packaging of olive oil with the registered mark.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
With the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on oils from olive fruits and pomace (Official Gazette 63/06) will be no longer in force.
