Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the manner of conducting the veterinary health checks and controls over the products of animal origin (deriving from foreign countries) that are or/will be introduced on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, including the conditions to be met by border inspection, and special veterinary conditions for free zones, free warehouses and customs warehouses.
This text is in accordance with the: Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to verify the compliance with food Law and Regulations on animal health and welfare; Council Directive 97/78/EC of 18 December 1997 laying down the principles of the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from foreign countries; Council Directive 2006/104/EC of 20 November 2006 adapting certain Directives in the field of agriculture (veterinary and phytosanitary legislation) due to the accession of Bulgaria and Romania; and Council Directive 2013/20/EU of 13 May 2013 on the adaptation of certain directives in the field of food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy due to the Croatian accession to the EU.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
