Abstract
This Regulation provides for the organization of veterinary checks on live animals imported from the foreign countries into the Croatian Republic.
This Regulation shall not apply to veterinary checks on pets that are moving along, and are intended for non-commercial purposes, except the equine species.
The type of border inspection posts can be divided and classified as: a) airport control; b) port control; c) road crossing control; d) railway crossings control.
About the decisions and reasons adopted by the competent authority, the importer or his representative will be properly informed.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for certain provisions that will enter into force on the day of Croatian entrance into the European Union.
Notes
With the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on veterinary-sanitary checks and controls on live animals moving across the Croatian border (Official Gazette 147/04) and the Regulation on veterinary health checks and controls on products of animal origin moving across the Croatian border (Official Gazette 147/04) will be no longer in use.
