Regulation on packaging and packaging waste, single-use plastic products and fishing gear containing plastic.

This Regulation here prescribes specific procedures for meeting the objectives of packaging waste recovery, conditions for packaging and packaging waste management, requirements for the collection, storage and treatment of packaging waste, requirements for the production, placing on the market and use of packaging, the manner and conditions for labelling packaging, the obligation to keep records and submit reports, the obligations and manner of fulfilling the obligations of manufacturers of products packaged in packaging, the obligations and manner of mandatory action of holders of packaging waste and other issues related to packaging and packaging waste, all with the aim of achieving the objectives for packaging waste. This text also prescribes measures whose primary objective is to prevent the generation of packaging waste and, as additional fundamental principles, the reuse of packaging, recycling and other forms of recovery of packaging waste, and therefore, the reduction of the final disposal of such waste in order to contribute to the transition to a circular economy. The Annex contains full set of designated technical sheets, indication lists and related label samples.
