Regulation on the procedure for determining the diversity, uniformity and stability of varieties of fruit species for the purpose of recognition of varieties.

This Regulation here prescribes the procedure and method of testing over the effective distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS tests) of fruit varieties for the purpose of variety recognition and determining the official description, as well as the time and method of delivering seedlings for the purpose of DUS testing. DUS testing is carried out by: a) the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food-Centre for Fruit and Vegetable Growing; or b) the competent official body of another Member State of the European Union or the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants; or c) any legal entity (contractor) that is authorized by the Agency in accordance with the applicable technical protocols of the EU Plant Variety Office or by related technical guides for each fruit species.
