Abstract
This Regulation provides for complete rules as regards the procedure for the protection of names of agricultural and food products, including all related issues on protected designations of origin, protected geographical indications and guaranteed traditional specialties of agricultural and food products and the non-mandatory quality label for mountain products.
This text also regulates the implementation of the following documents: Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 November 2012 on quality systems for agricultural products and foodstuffs; Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) no. 668/2014 of 13 July 2014 laying down rules for the implementation of Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on quality systems for agricultural and food products; Delegated Commission Regulation (EU) no. 664/2014 of 18 December 2013 on a supplement to Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the identification of Union symbols for protected designations of origin, protected geographical indications and guaranteed traditional specialties and given certain rules of origin, certain rules of procedure and certain additional transitional rules; Delegated Commission Regulations (EU) no. 665/2014 of 11 March 2014 on a supplement to Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the conditions of use of the non-mandatory quality mark "mountain product".
